This is one of the best buys I've ever done. this is an amazing product. I recently purchased a new HP touchsmart laptop, and I am uber paranoid about it overheating and my hard drive crashing. I had a friend loose 3 semesters of her photojournalism major work because her computer over heated and it melted her hard drive. In any case, I bought this product. It's whisper quiet, and large enough to support any sized laptop big or small. (mine is small, and fits luxuriously on the pad). It is USB powered, but it doesnt cover up the plug, so that's also an advantage. the power drain is minimal, but if you're running on just battery, it may shave a few minutes. all in all, its great, i love it. lightweight weight too, sry i forgot that.
