I bought this particular cooler because my brother already had one and he loved it. I have a 17" HP laptop which gets extremely hot. Some HP batteries have been recalled because they were a fire hazard, but mine was not one of them, which really surprised me with how hot it gets. Also because my battery got so hot, it was pretty much impossible for me to use my laptop on my lap. However with this product, my laptop is considerably cooler to the touch on both the bottom and the keyboard. I love this product and cannot imagine how I ever used my laptop without it.
