Okay, I got this product last week, and plugged it in, and since the beginning it's been making ticking/clicking noises while in use--even without the laptop being on it. Never having a laptop cooler before, I didn't know what to make of it.
Since no one in these reviews have discussed this, I thought I'd make sure everyone knows: THIS IS NOT NORMAL. If yours is making this kind of noise, contact amazon to return it and get one that works. I wasn't sure if the 'slight noise' it makes included this, but figured I'd better ask amazon just in case--and I was right that something is wrong with it.
I don't care that it's defective and brand new, I just want to make sure everyone out there is aware that this kind of noise that I'm experiencing is NOT right.
I do love the product however--even broken or defective, it keeps my laptop table cool and keeps my hands from burning up! It's a great product, and I'm looking forward to one less noisy :-DGet more detail about Antec USB-Powered Notebook Cooler.
