I have been using this now for four months. I use my laptop daily, it's on all the time, and after awhile, even if you clean it with compressed air, you just can't get all the dust out and the laptop starts to overheat. I lost a laptop that way, because heat will kill components and system board in no time. So, for <$25, I have a neat little device that sits under the laptop and has its own fan which runs off the USB port, no need for electrical outlet. I don't even know it's there, except that the keyboard is an inch higher off the desk than it was. That doesn't bother me. There is also a blue light which goes off when your laptop goes into hibernation. This is a great product. I noticed some of the other reviews complained of flimsiness -- maybe damaged in shipping or if you get a bad one, you should exchange for another of the same item.
