I go through a *lot* of computer gear... Basically I buy and buy until I find what I deem to be the best of what it is, then I stay with that until something proves better... And often, nothing does... I have several high end coolers, I run an Alienware laptop with a RAID that I run heavy (and overclocked) graphics on; often it is in less-than-ideal conditions and I cannot set it on a perfect surface for long periods of time...and with that and the RAID it gets very *warm* ....
This cooler is simple, very effective, remarkably inexpensive and holds my 17" lappy without a problem... This is the best in my opinion, so even if this one breaks, I will simply get another one just like it... I also recommend it to my many friends who don't seem to understand that heat can kill a lappy all by itself...
