We just replaced this cooler after our old one (6 years old!) finally started slowing down. Before we replaced it with the Antec, which is what we'd had, we foolishly bought a different one at the big electronics store ...it died in the second month. This cooler is great for a laptop that gets moved from surface to surface (e.g. a shelf to your lap) becuase it is stiff, not all wobbly like some of the others.
