So far so good. I've only had this item for a short while, and appreciate the warranty. I had another notebook cooler which wore out within a short time. The Antec seems to be doing the job and making my Dell 1100 Inspiron (noted for running very hot) run better. My only complaint would be that in order to turn it OFF, I have to unplug it from the laptop, thus trying to find the plug-in location each time. I run my computer on hibernation often, and as long as it's not turned OFF, the cooler runs ... which is why I'm afraid my last one (not Antec) wore out so quickly.
