this cooling pad is a great design. it sucks air from the side and blows air at the bottom of the computer. this is perfect for me because my computer sucks from the bottom so it works with my computer. and you can put the computer on your lap without worrying about blocking the air flow since the air intake is on the side. perfect...although, if your computer exhausts the hot air out of the bottom then you might want to look at another cooling pad the sucks instead of blows.
as some have also noted this is a little bit weaker of a fan. the fan is weaker so you get less air flow but you also get a MUCH quieter ride. IMO i would take the quieter ride. the cooling is sufficient and you can hear yourself think.
i also tried Belkin F5L001-BLK Laptop Cooling Pad (Black) which has a much stronger fan, but is louder, air intake on bottom, and overall poorer(uncomfortable)design. i was happy with it at first but the fan started making a grinding noise right after turning it on for a few minutes. i replaced it and the same thing happened, so i tried this unit. after trying this, i realized how bad the belkin is.Get more detail about Logitech Notebook Cooling Pad (N100).
