while the reduced size is good for throwing into a bag (hence the "travel" pad), i found it a bit small for holding up my 15" mac laptop (it's a bit wobbly unless you position it just right). probably a good purchase if you have a smaller laptop.Get more detail about Road Tools 5876-TRCB Traveler CoolPad (Black).
