Buying Targus AWE32US Ergonomic Single LCD Display Arm

I mounted a 21" monitor on this arm, which was on the upper range of the arm's suggested monitor sizes (larger than 21" monitors also usually don't mount with vesa 100 spacing so that might also have something to do with the suggested monitor sizes) and I wasn't completely happy with the mounting arm's stability. I didn't have time to research more products as the display with the arm had to ship out, but from previous research there aren't many systems as "pretty" as this one. it works mind you with the fairly heavy 21" monitor I mounted, the arm holds the display, adjusts the height and swivels around fine. It's just a little springy and feels less than rock solid... this mounting arm is probably just fine for a 19" or smaller monitor. the price is also lower than the competitive products which are also not quite as aesthetically pleasing. I also have a peerless monitor mount, it has a much thicker, stronger post. It has a stronger mounting clamp. It has a more solid mounting bracket. But the bracket only swivels left/right, up down and portrait/landscape (no in/out like this one,) it's not as pretty, it has a black rough paint coating, and it's more than twice the price of this mount. I noticed other peerless mounts on amazon.com just now that are chrome and have more articulation than the one I have, but since I haven't evaluated those I cannot compare them to this one except to notice that the price on the peerless mounts are about twice the price of this one. For heavier monitors I suggest evaluating one of the peerless mounts, for lighter displays, this one might make the grade and cost you less.Get more detail about Targus AWE32US Ergonomic Single LCD Display Arm.
