I needed a new 4 pin to pin, IEEE 1394 FireWire DV cable to use with my old Panasonic video camera. My new computer does not support the original video transfer cable which came with the camera. Luckily it has a FireWire port. Locally, the cable (if you could find one) sold for over twenty dollars (US). The new cable I bought was under five dollars with free shipping. The cable works fine.
