I've used my Sandisk USB card reader so far and I really don't know why I did not switch to this reader much earlier. I was so annoyed by the speed with the USB port. Downloading RAW pictures took forever - after I got the Firewire reader I've tested the speeds and found out that the USB port reader is limited to a flimsy 12MB/s. The new one in conjunction with a FW 800 PCIe card the reader really challenges all my CF cards and all my pictures are downloaded to my computer blazing fast. The reader is really worth the money!
