This product "feels" very good, meaning it seems solidly built with quality components. The cable is thick and does not allow for RF interference. The connectors are good, especially the male side. With this side, there are two buttons the detach the cable from the device.
I did have to "notch" the sides near the buttons for this to fit my protective case (Otterbox Defender). However, this did not ruin the functionality of the product or the buttons. I do not know if there are other cases that would need the modification because, frankly, the Otterbox is the best.
There are a few things I did notice that kept this product from five stars. They are not a deal breaker for me but may be for others. One, you cannot use the device "stand" provided with my iPod touch with this cable. Second, the screen stays on at all times with this cable connected. The cable still charges the device, however.
Overall, this is a good item for people like myself that just loathe taking expensive( and sometimes very fragile) equipment out of their protective cases.It does its job and looks stylish doing it (cable looks like the USB Sync cable).Get more detail about 30 Pin Dock Extender Cable-50 cm in White.
