I read the reviews before purchasing; a couple of folks warned that this was a 70 watt and would not power their old 5100's but there were far more positive reviews and this unit was less than half price of other 5100-compatible chargers so I took a chance.
Well I got what I deserved; an error message saying the power supply was inadequate and the subsequent hassle of returning the unit, all to save a few bucks.
If you are looking for a new 5100 charger (and given the shoddy construction of the OEM unit, as a 5100 owner you surely are) then keep on looking, dude.
