I am currently enrolled in an online university. Every 5 weeks I begin a new class, which means I must print out a 10 page syllabus. And quite often, I print out useful charts and information tables from my e-textbook. I ran out of the brand name ink that I had in the printer, searched online, and found this product. It cost me $15, which is far below what it would cost for the name brand. Today I installed the ink cartridges. There was a small amount of leakage when I took the orange plastic clamp off, but other than that, they seemed to install easily.
I printed out the final exam for my class, and though the quality is not as good as the name-brand, it is not bad either. It is not quite as sharp and defined as the Cannon ink cartridges, so I am curious as to what photos and other highly detailed prints would look like. I do not do much printing in those areas, but eventually I will sample it so I know how these things hold up.
But for printing documents, and especially the amount of documents I have to print, this is a great deal. Only time will tell how long they will last, but so far, so good.
For those of you who end up printing a lot of material, and will eventually file it away, never to be seen again, I'd say this is an inexpensive solution.Get more detail about Sold By TheFactoryDepot: 5-Pack Non-OEM Ink w/ Chip for PGI-220BK CLI-221 Canon Pixma Canon iP3600 iP4600 MP560 MP620 MX860 MP980.
