Saw lots of people having trouble hooking this up with windows 7 boxes. I simply plugged and it played on an Acer laptop running windows 7. Works great except the sound from my laptop ceases to work when plugged into the dynadock. It has a sound jack but I really didn't intend to hook up external speakers -- oh well -- still a good product...Get more detail about Toshiba Dynadock U Universal USB Connect Docking Station.
