I got this fan in December of '07, and it's still going over a year later. The fans are still going strong, and when I can get it to run, it keeps my laptop nice and cool. The problem is the port in the fan for the USB cable is on its way out, which means I have to constantly play with the cord until I can get it to connect, and then play with it some more later, but that problem only came up about a month ago, and it's just starting to get to me. The blue light that ticked me off so much when I first bought the thing is now my favorite aspect, as it lets me see when I need to play with the cord. The fans aren't exactly quiet anymore, but it's kind of a peaceful hum. If you can find a product that's built like this one with just a more durable socket, I definitely encourage you to buy it, but as I haven't been able to find one, go with this.
